中国人尚礼重乐。笛与箫就是以乐匡礼怡情的绝好载体，因为竹管乐器的乐音清泠幽雅，直抵人心深处，极易产生共鸣，往往能起到文字语言达不到的效果。
因此，几千年来的无数中国文人将习乐吹箫作为怡养心性的选择。笛与箫也成为了文人最常见的配饰，君子的象征。
Ritual-and-music culture is the very core of Chinese traditional ethos. Serving the purpose of contributing to ritual-music culture, Flute and Xiao make melodious sound and thus provide people with an excellent channel of expressing emotion.
Therefore, Flute and Xiao were favored by Chinese literati for thousands of years, becoming the symbol of gentlemen.
