Yield
做动词的时候，意为“产生某种结果”
比如描述远程教育：
The development of distance education has yielded many positive results.
远程教育的发展带来了很多积极的结果。
描述太空研究：
Space technology has yielded many positive results over the past decades.
太空科技在过去几十年产生了很多积极的结果。
Yield 还可以做名词使用，意为“产量”：
The wide use of machines has significantly promoted the yield of crops.
机器的广泛使用显著提高了作物的产量。
